Wardrobe weeding - highly recommended. I felt you really got to know me and where I was coming from and what I needed help on (everything!).

The day shopping was a dream. It was so helpful that you had been shopping the day before. We were in shops for two minutes - I did not know what to look at -you had six items over your arm and were heading for the changing room. Even the whole changing room experience was fantastic; right down to I did not need to put anything back on a hanger - you just took care of everything. When it was not absolutely right - you said so - if I was not sure you said no to the purchase. I came home with so many clothes and not one of them have I had second thoughts about.

What I really found helpful was that you were very gentle about everything. My wardrobe was black -we could even joke about trying a bit of colour but at no point did I feel bad about how I let my wardrobe go. You simply wanted to put it right.

What I really found useful was that you spent time explaining what went with what and what should not been worn with what. I know I should know - but I don't! I have even stuck up a list on the inside of my wardrobe!

First day at work (Khaki dress/snakeskin shoes, large bangle, silver earrings) - fantastic reaction from my colleagues. It was so easy to talk about the whole experience and they were so interested. Can't wait until tomorrow (blue skirt, beautiful white shirt, black gorgeous boots).

I am already planning when to do this again. It has had a very big impact on me personally. I am not used to spending time and money on myself - it has always been on others - and this made me feel really good. Thank you for making the experience so rewarding and so much fun."

"Hi Lucie, just wanted to say thank you for Thursday before last, and also for the magazines - definitely a help! In fact, I went to Spain last week, and packing was a snap! I did carry-on, and since we did a lot of walking it made things much lighter, and I had a great mix and match wardrobe that made me feel comfortable, even compared to the Spanish women! Thus a side-bonus I hadn't thought of!

The biggest benefit has been not having to think so much about what I wear in the morning. I typed up some of the outfit combos you suggested, and I'm still going through new combinations even a month later! It's almost become the new goal - try to wear everything there, without wearing the same outfit a 2nd time, as opposed to relying on a few favourite combos and getting the feeling I'm repeating outfits less than a week later. To actually know everything in your wardrobe is wearable is so nice, as opposed to glazing over things you don't wear, and feeling bad that they're just sitting there being wasteful. And a last point, when I took that pile of clothes, shoes, belts and jewellery to the local charity shop, they nearly cried they were so happy!"

"I knew I needed help when I phoned Lucie, I was going with my husband on a 3 week business trip and could only take one suitcase. I didn't know if Lucie could help but we had an initial meeting where I described my problem and the various events and functions I was attending.

We set up a wardrobe experience, which was great fun and a good work out as well -as I tried on all of my summer wardrobe! It was wonderful to be with some who was so honest and said if something suited you or not.

Lucie was inspirational, she took my existing clothes and made them work for the whole 3 weeks and they all fitted into one suitcase (my husband was amazed). I had expected to have to go out and buy lots of new clothes but Lucie's sense of style mixed and matched outfits that I would not have thought of and I managed with my existing wardrobe.

I felt wonderful on my trip - I had my clothes planned for each day so I could relax and enjoy the experience instead of worrying if I was wearing the right thing for the event.

I have told all my friends about the wonderful, positive experience I had and how it has made me look at my wardrobe in a new light.

I have already had Lucie back to look at my winter wardrobe and we have identified some gaps which needed filling, which will avoid expensive mistakes and I know that, for me, this will be an experience I will want to repeat each year."

I did some research by asking at a few men's clothes shops and was given Lucie's name. After an initial meeting over a cup of coffee, I was confident I had found the right professional for the job. Following this short initial meeting we reviewed my wardrobe and agreed on the brief and rough budget.

In the end I spent two complete days with Lucie shopping and reviewing my new wardrobe.
